Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac/Telemetry (5 North)

Job Details:

* 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Half of contract weekends required
* Minimum 1.5-2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Care for adult patients ranging from young adults through geriatric population
* Provide medical-level cardiac care and post-intervention recovery for patients following cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant
* Manage hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients
* Required skills include cardiac telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, vasoactive drip management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and wound care
* Additional skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, arterial line management, pre/post cardiac cath care, pre/post cardiac surgery care, and tracheostomy care
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services

The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The facility is equipped to handle a wide range of cardiac interventions and maintains a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
