Opportunity:

Labor and Delivery Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor and Delivery unit
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 3:1 on nights
* 15-bed unit
* Travel experience required - unit does not accept first-time travelers
* Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
* Basic/intermediate fetal monitoring experience required
* Self-scheduling unit
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP (must be in hand at time of submission), ACLS, and AWHONN Intermediate
* Required skills include but are not limited to: labor and delivery, antepartum care, cesarean section, postpartum hemorrhage management, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, fetal heart rate monitoring (internal and external), epidural anesthesia assistance, IV insertion and maintenance, foley catheter insertion and management, triage of obstetrical patients, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, and VBAC management

Facility:

This facility operates a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit delivering between 100 and 200 births per month. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and requires experienced travel nurses who are confident working independently in a fast-paced obstetrical environment.
