Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - Outpatient

Job Details:

* Shift start time is 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM depending on caseload
* No weekend shifts required
* Floating to other outpatient clinics may occasionally be required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting required
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program required
* High school diploma or GED required
* Venipuncture experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
* Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical history
* Perform blood draws and collect samples for lab
* Administer medications including intramuscular injections
* Complete authorization forms, insurance verification, and pharmacy calls/patient refill requests
* Conduct telephone triage and follow-up phone calls
* Perform wound care and dressing changes
* Serve patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Work in an ENT clinic environment
