Opportunity:
IR / Vascular Tech
Job Details:
* Work 4 ten-hour shifts per day, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a rotating day off, or 5 eight-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* Weeknight call rotation approximately once every 3 weekdays
* Weekend call rotation once every 3 weekends (Friday through Monday)
* May be asked to participate in holiday call
* Call response time of 30 minutes required
* Facility operates 7 total rooms (4 Cath Lab/EP and 3 IR/Vascular) with 20+ cases per day across all rooms
* IR procedures include port placements, liver biopsy, IVC placements, G-tube placements, PICC and central line placements, and neuro cases (coiling, thrombectomy, embolizations)
* Vascular procedures include Fem-pops, AAA repair, carotids, EVAR, angios, and more
* Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
* Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
* Pull supplies and set up sterile tables
* Scrub in and assist physicians with procedures including device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
* Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
* Perform room cleaning, restocking, turnover, and sheath removals
* Hybrid floating requirements for vascular cases
* EMR and equipment used: Merge, Cerner, and Siemens
* Facility-provided scrubs; personal scrub caps permitted
* Orientation typically consists of 2 to 3 full days of training and shadowing with buddy call; no call during first week, buddy call during second week, then independent call
* Minimum 2 years of IR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ARRT

This acute care facility is a Level 2 trauma center offering a comprehensive interventional radiology and vascular technology department. The department operates across 7 specialized suites supporting a high volume of daily procedures spanning interventional radiology, catheterization lab, electrophysiology, and vascular services. The facility utilizes Cerner as its primary charting system and maintains dedicated team structures to ensure quality patient care across all service lines.
