Job Details:

* Shifts available: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, or night shift 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM with varied days
* On-call requirement of approximately 120 hours per 13-week contract in rotation with staff, including weekends and holidays as needed
* Call response time of 30 minutes required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Must have Trauma and Neuro experience
* Common cases include General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics procedures
* 16 operating suites with an average of 30 cases per day
* Scrubbing is not required for RNs
* Charge nurse experience preferred; charge nurse and house supervisor will be on shift
* 2 OR techs on shift
* Charting performed in Epic EMR
* Scrubs are provided on-site
* Floats may be requested within Zone 1 (PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) in cases of extreme need only
* BSN not required
* Required certification: BLS (AHA)
* Must be within 60 miles of facility; valid driver's license must be submitted
* Must be available in-state for the full week of orientation

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Level 2 Trauma Center with 16 operating suites handling approximately 30 cases per day across a wide range of surgical specialties. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and provides a well-supported surgical environment with charge nurses and house supervisors on every shift, along with two OR techs per shift. The organization offers a structured orientation program and maintains a collaborative scheduling approach for its surgical team.
