Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Stepdown

Job Details:

* Care for adult Med/Surg patients on a progressive care stepdown pulmonary/medical-surgical unit
* Treat patients with complex and varied diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, GI, oncology, diabetes (including DKA), sepsis, pneumonia, and infections
* Every other weekend shift required
* No block scheduling permitted
* Requests for full weeks off during November through December will not be approved
* Expected to work a minimum of 3 out of 6 Winter holidays
* Float requirement to other universal/progressive areas within affiliated facilities
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working at a level one trauma facility
* Must have PC/AC/Tele/Med Surg experience
* Kentucky or compact state license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required exams: EKG Onboarding, Math, Med/Pharmacology, Progressive Care Competency, Progressive Care Skills, and CORE exams

This healthcare facility is a progressive care stepdown pulmonary and medical-surgical unit that cares for a wide variety of adult patients with multiple and often complex diagnoses. The unit provides comprehensive care across numerous specialties including cardiac, respiratory, GI, and oncology, among others. The facility maintains high compliance and competency standards and operates as part of a larger affiliated health system with float opportunities to other units and nearby affiliate hospitals.
