Opportunity:
MT/MLT - 8hr days
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week contract
* No on-call, call back, weekend, or holiday requirements
* Perform chemistry, hematology, blood bank, micro set up and gram stains, urinalysis, coagulation, ESR, ABG, phlebotomy, manual cell count, trauma drug screen, and rapid tests
* Work within a small rural critical access hospital lab servicing the ED, hospital, and 3 clinics
* Float within hospital lab including Med/Surg, ED, infusion, specialty, or clinic for phlebotomy
* Operate equipment including Sysmex XN550, ACL TOP 350, Roche e411, Roche c501, Roche Pure, Bactec FX40, Abbott ID NOW, Clinitek Status, Medtox scan, and Ortho Workstation Gel Method
* Strong phlebotomy skills required, including arterial blood collection experience
* Good understanding of maintenance and quality control required
* EPIC Beaker experience preferred; Electronic Medical Record charting experience required
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in specialty area and phlebotomy required
* Rural health and/or critical access hospital experience strongly preferred
* Willingness to assist and train less experienced lab technicians
* Must be a hard worker, resilient, adaptable to change, and a team player
* Required certifications: MLT or MLS (ASCP) and AHA BLS
* Required education: Associate Degree or Certificate
* Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
* Scrub colors: Solid royal blue and black in any combination, except not all black
