L&D RN
Job Details:
* Labor & Delivery RN position with a 1:1 patient ratio during days, nights, and weekends
* Self-scheduling with 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* 48-hour shifts approved
* No on-call or float requirements
* 24-hour orientation period
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
* Must be proficient in a wide range of L&D skills including: labor and delivery, cesarean section, neonatal resuscitation, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, epidural anesthesia, external and internal fetal monitoring, postpartum hemorrhage management, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia care, and obstetrical triage
* Must be comfortable assisting with high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, and circulating for C-sections
* Experience with antepartum care, HELLP syndrome, preterm labor, VBAC management, and multiple gestations required
* Scrub color requirement: Navy for all RNs
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Facility:
This facility is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds and 15 Labor & Delivery rooms. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support.
