Opportunity:

Dietitian - Inpatient

Job Details:

* 13-week contract position
* 5x8 shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* 1 year of experience required
* Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
* BLS certification required
* CDR - RD/RDN license required
* Missouri Licensed Dietician State License required (pending licensure accepted but must be obtained prior to start date)
* Focus is primarily inpatient with a majority of adult patients, with some geriatric and pediatric patient care
* Outpatient consults across all age ranges, typically adult patients
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 55 with 114 beds
* Skills required include nutrition assessments and reassessments, dysphagia management, TPN, fluid and electrolyte requirements, protein calorie malnutrition, and aspiration safety
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
* 36 orientation hours
* Pre-approved time off: one request allowed; keep RTO to a minimum with no calendar week off preferred during assignment
* Must be willing to float to another department as helping hands or take a patient assignment within scope and competency

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 114 beds and a daily census of approximately 55 patients. The facility provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient dietitian services across a broad range of patient populations, including adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics. The organization supports interdisciplinary care through collaboration with physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.
