RN - Pediatric Oncology

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required
* Must be able to float to other facility locations within a 75+ mile radius
* Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and adults
* Patient diagnoses include Hematology/Oncology/BMT and medical overflow
* Patient ratio experience of 4 patients required
* Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Oncology or Inpatient Oncology experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: APHON, Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
* Preferred experience: Hematology/Oncology, Epic
* Key clinical skills include: administration of chemotherapy, central line care and blood draw, accessing and managing ports, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, PICC line care, management and disposal of cytotoxic spills, neutropenic precautions, monitoring chemotherapy, care and management of ports, PCA pump management, infusion pump management, phlebotomy, foley catheter insertion and management, wound care, isolation precautions and PPE, and patient and family education and support
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
