Job Details:

* Shifts alternate between 6:30 AM 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM 8:00 PM throughout the schedule
* On-call requirement includes 2 forty-eight-hour weekends and 14 weekday shifts per 6-week schedule
* Floating required between Atlantic City and Mainland Campus (approximately 12 miles apart, 15?20 minute drive) on an as-needed basis; travelers are first to float
* Travelers may be required to make up missed shifts during the same week or at the end of the assignment
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted with applicable rate differential
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience required
* Level 2 trauma center experience with trauma patients required
* Cardiac scrub experience required; scrub experience in General, Urology, and Ortho highly preferred
* Vascular scrub experience required
* Cardiac procedures include: Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, TAVR, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), and Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery
* Vascular procedures include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortocaval fistula repair, Aortoenteric fistula repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Arteriovenous malformation surgery, Atherectomy, Carotid angioplasty, artery stenting and Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Renal artery bypass surgery, and TEVAR
* Charting system experience in Cerner preferred
* Hospital scrubs provided
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA (CST), or NCCT

Facility:

This facility is a 323-bed hospital and home to an advanced cardiothoracic surgery, structural heart, and advanced heart failure program. The Heart & Lung Institute performs advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and TAVR. The health system operates two hospital campuses and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
