Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include total hip replacement, abdominal hysterectomy, thyroidectomy, colectomy, sepsis, CHF, AFib RVR, CVA, ETOH withdrawal, and hypertensive crisis
* Manage non-titrating drips including amiodarone, Bumex, and Heparin
* Required skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management, telemetry monitoring, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
* Surgical floor unit with a daily census of 18-25 patients and 36 rooms
* One pre-approved time off request permitted
* Orientation: 12 hours completed onsite
