Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling
* 2 years of experience preferred; will consider less
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Scrub color: Navy
* Charting system: EPIC documentation required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required and must be in hand at time of submission
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio experience: 4 patients
* Skills include triage, IV management, cardiac monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial blood gas interpretation, blood product administration, procedural sedation, management of ventilated patients, central line care, chest tube management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, splint application, and management of behavioral/psychiatric patients
* May float to like units within scope based on facility needs

Facility:

This emergency department is a high-volume facility with 38 rooms and a daily census of approximately 135 visits per day. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, interpretation services, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified facility, equipped to handle a wide range of emergency cases across all patient age groups.
