Medical-Surgical ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 day shifts
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period required
* Float required based on schedule
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* LTAC experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS*
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Key skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This facility operates a Medical-Surgical ICU with 16 beds across 12 rooms, maintaining a daily census of 14 patients. The unit provides comprehensive critical care services with robust interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility is a full-service healthcare organization offering advanced critical care capabilities with specialized equipment and procedures to support complex patient needs.
