Open Position: PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Opportunity:

PT - Acute Care

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend or on-call requirements
* Float between inpatient and outpatient settings (approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient depending on census)
* 7 treatment hours per day
* Treat a combination of inpatient and outpatient patients including SNF general, wounds, orthopedic, neurological, and debility cases
* Common diagnoses include fractures, orthopedic injuries, sports injuries, neck pain, wound care, and amputations (approximately 10-15% neurological cases)
* Acute inpatient, acute rehab, skilled, and outpatient coverage required
* Wound care experience preferred but not required
* Inpatient and outpatient experience required
* May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
* Work alongside 2-3 PTAs and 1 tech
* Charting performed in MEDITECH
* Maroon scrubs required (not provided)
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Texas and national PT license required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates as a critical access hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The facility maintains a supportive nursing and therapy staff environment and works collaboratively with a sister facility for specialized cases. The unit is staffed with full-time physical therapists available to assist with cases outside the contractor's experience, ensuring comprehensive patient care across all settings.
