Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
* Day shift position with 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
* Must work 2 of 4 major holidays, rotating with permanent staff
* First to float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and other campuses as needed
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience required (within the past 6 months)
* Must have strong cardiac tele background and ability to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
* Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently - no monitor tech available
* Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer via RELIAS (maximum 2 attempts)
* Must pass a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides provided)
* 2 shifts of orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus
* Caring for ED hold patients waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele patients
* Common titratable drips include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
* May assist with ED patients including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration (will not serve as primary RN for ED patient assignments)
* No ventilator management required; ED PCTs available on unit
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA or APEX)
* BSN not required
* Valid state nursing license required
