Open Position: Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant Outpatient

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1432.80

Opportunity:

MA - Physical Medicine

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekends and no on-call requirements
* Room patients and obtain vitals, screenings, and allergies
* Process orders and complete prior authorizations for procedures
* Assist with injections including patient positioning, room setup, and supporting physician with ultrasound-guided injections
* Answer patient messages via telephone and online messaging system and assist with medication refill proposals
* Utilize computerized charting system (Cerner) and ultrasound machine for injections
* Enter patient information and position patients for EEG machine procedures
* See an average of 10 to 20 patients per day
* Possible float to Pain Management, Neurology, and Sleep Departments
* Graduate of a Medical Assistant school required; certification preferred (CMA, RMA)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* BLS certification through AHA required
* Dress code: Scrubs

The department provides a structured orientation program where new medical assistants are paired with experienced staff to learn the Cerner platform and general workflow.
