Job Details:

* Evening shift from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
* On-call required: Weekday call of 16 hours every 4 weeks (standby shift blocks in 4-hour or 8-hour increments) and weekend call of 24 hours every 4 weeks (12-hour standby shifts x 2)
* Weekends required: Must be available to work weekend shifts in lieu of weekday shifts as needed for department needs
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Must not float between units
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required
* Travel experience required
* Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
* Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI
* Experience with Da Vinci Robotics and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System required
* Scrub color: Any color
* Charting system: Epic
* Adult Acute Care Operating Room with all adult specialties and a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases
* Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
* Adult surgical specialties not performed: Open Heart and Organ Transplant
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This short-term acute care facility operates a 418-staffed-bed hospital with a 21-room Adult Acute Care Operating Room. The facility provides comprehensive surgical services with a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases and supports a wide range of adult surgical specialties. The organization utilizes Epic for charting and maintains modern surgical equipment including the Intuitive Surgical Systems to support complex surgical procedures.
