Opportunity:

RN BMT/ONC (10000205 - Cellular Therapies Unit)

Job Details:

* Rotating schedule working various days of the week
* Weekend shifts required based on unit needs
* No on-call required
* Care for adult patients with blood cancers receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T on a 51-bed unit
* Nurse-to-patient ratio is 3-4:1 and may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
* Float between BMT/Oncology and Cellular Therapies Unit (CTU) as needed
* May float to sister facilities within the metro region based on facility needs
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy
* Minimum 2 years of acute care BMT/Hematology experience required; chemotherapy administration experience required
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ONC Certification, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), Colorado or Compact RN License
* Must be comfortable with flexible staffing ratios
* Key skills include administration of chemotherapy (IV push, continuous infusion, and oral), CAR-T therapy, stem cell therapies, central line blood draws and care, administration of blood and blood products, bone marrow administration, management of cytotoxic spills, neutropenic precautions, and recognition of abnormal lab values
* Additional clinical skills include management of acute tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, graft-versus-host disease, sepsis, hemorrhage, spinal cord compression, leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
