Opportunity:

RN - LDRP

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts with shift times of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend requirement: every third weekend
* Holidays rotate between major and minor holidays on a 3-year cycle
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* BSN not required
* Must pass an open book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
* 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
* Charting system: EPIC
* Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Care for patients with common diagnoses including intrauterine pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and water births
* Required to titrate drips including Pitocin, magnesium, insulin, antihypertensives, and hemorrhage medications
* Unit follows AWHONN staffing standards with fluctuating ratios
* Charge nurse present on each shift with assignment; 1 OB tech per shift
* May voluntarily float to other hospital departments or another campus OB floor
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Facility:

This acute care facility operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center providing comprehensive medical services across multiple campuses. The labor and delivery unit consists of 14 LDRP beds and follows AWHONN staffing standards to ensure quality patient care. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains a structured support team including charge nurses and OB technicians on every shift.
