Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
* Rotating schedule between day and night shifts based on unit needs - schedule cycles may vary between days and nights
* Self-scheduling available, however days off are only guaranteed as listed on contract
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 during 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM and 1:5-6 during 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Provide nursing care to adult patients on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit with all single rooms
* Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments, administer medications, and document all cares
* Communicate with interdisciplinary team and update patients and families on plan of care
* Utilize equipment including EPIC, OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, and Zebra phones
* May be required to float to other med-surg units and all units/locations within Fargo as needed
* Orientation includes 8-hour classroom training followed by 24 hours of unit training
* Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
* Must badge in and out at facility
* Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds required
* Experience in a busy Level 1 trauma center required
* Travel experience required
* EPIC experience required - must be noted on resume
* Active BLS (AHA) certification required
* Active ND or Compact RN License required
* Cannot take travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility
