Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Every other weekend requirement with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
* Days weekend coverage includes Saturday/Sunday, nights weekend coverage includes Friday/Saturday
* Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 3-4 patients on 22-bed telemetry unit
* Must have 2-3 years of specialty experience, open to first-time travelers
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Must pass dysrhythmia exam and be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
* Float to IMCU (2West) or Med/Surg departments as needed (first to float)
* Work with common diagnoses including stroke, TIA, seizure, TBI, and mixed medical telemetry patients
* Use Cerner EMR system for documentation
* Navy scrubs required
* No call or standby requirements
* One shift unit orientation provided
* Self-scheduling available by seniority with shift trades permitted
* Focus on bedside shift report, patient experience, and stroke core measures
* Work with equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
