Opportunity:
Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Job Details:
* 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Work in an outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting
* Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
* Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
* Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
* Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
* Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
* Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
* Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
* Be familiar with PT billing policies and procedures including Medicare, work comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
* Make independent decisions regarding patient care
* Participate in business marketing and referral process when necessary
* Follow HIPAA policy and procedures
* Must be physically mobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers, mobility, and walking safety
* Computer skills required including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR proficiency
* Degree in Physical Therapy required
* Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of intended practice
* Continuing Education courses preferred
* No travel expected for this position
