Opportunity:
Cath Lab / IR Technologist
Job Details:
* Work day shift with on-call rotation including weeknights, weekends, and holidays
* Provide cardiovascular intervention support in specialties including Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Neurology, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology
* Training provided in all specialty areas
* Verify patient identification and procedural consent
* Monitor and record vital signs and assess distal pulses pre and post procedure
* Prepare sterile equipment and access sites with appropriate drapes and covers
* Operate automatic contrast injectors and ensure proper function
* Assist in administering injectable medications per physician orders
* Scrub with physician using sterile and aseptic techniques
* Advocate for radiation safety and wear personnel radiation dosimeter
* Position patients and imaging equipment for desired projections
* Acquire and process digital images including road mapping and 3D reconstructions
* Assist with ultrasound guidance for vascular access
* Provide post-procedural patient care including pressure application and dressing placement
* Required certifications: IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation, ARRT(R), ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI), BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
* Must be graduate of accredited radiology program
* Experience working at Level 1 Trauma Center required
