Opportunity:
FLOAT POOL - Clinical Support Unit Boise Hospital (ED, M/S & TELE)
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts available as either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Night shift focus with weekends as needed
* No on-call or standby requirements
* Float pool position - may be assigned to any facility in the region including Boise, Meridian, and Nampa within specialty or as a 1:1 sitter in any area
* Unit assignment provided via app 1 hour before shift starts; all hospitals are approximately 20 minutes apart and located off the interstate
* Travelers are first to float and may be floated mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed
* No self-scheduling; block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
* Every other weekend requirement; holiday coverage filled in as needed
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: ED holds 1:4; Med/Surg 1:5
* Must have minimum 2 years of experience in specialty and previous travel experience
* Must be comfortable titrating drips including cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, heparin, and insulin
* Must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently
* Common diagnoses include post-op, ortho, neuro, satellite tele, medical, oncology, CVA/TIA, chest pain, abdominal pain, and CHF
* ED holds experience preferred
* No specific scrub color required; clean and professional appearance required
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA or ARC), BLS (AHA or ARC)

This healthcare system operates multiple acute care facilities across the region, including Level 2 and Level 4 trauma centers with Stroke and STEMI receiving capabilities. The facilities feature robust emergency departments, comprehensive medical/surgical units, and telemetry services. A dedicated float pool leadership team including an educator, administrative support, and seven assistant managers ensures that one manager is always on call 24/7 to support travelers on days, nights, and weekends.
