Pre-Op RN

Job Details:

* Start times vary between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM
* Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends
* No on-call required
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period for guaranteed hours
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Care for patients across general surgery, orthopedics, cardiac, and neurology specialties
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 40 with 15 beds on unit
* Inpatient experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
* First-time travelers accepted with 3 or more years of experience in specialty
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, PALS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 320 staffed beds and provides a wide range of surgical and specialty services including general surgery, orthopedics, cardiac care, and neurology. The facility supports a diverse patient population spanning adolescents through geriatrics and maintains high standards for clinical excellence. The unit operates with a structured Monday through Friday schedule and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system.
