RN MS ONC NIGHTS
Job Details:
* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* Weekend coverage required per unit needs, with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
* Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 on night shift; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
* Candidates must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
* 36-bed Oncology/GYN-ONC/Palliative/Med Tele unit serving adult patients
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy
* No on-call required
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister facilities
* 2 years of acute care experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, Colorado or Compact RN license; Oncology certification preferred but not required
* Oncology certifications preferred: ONS/ONCC, OCN, Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, central line care, PICC line care, IV push chemotherapy administration, neutropenic precautions, PCA pump management, wound care, foley catheter insertion/management, and sepsis management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and more
Facility:
This inpatient facility is a large academic medical center offering a comprehensive range of specialty services including oncology, gynecologic oncology, palliative care, and medical telemetry. The facility supports an interdisciplinary care model with resources including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services. The unit consists of 36 staffed beds and is equipped with modern technology to support high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
