Open Position: RN - Med Surg Adult

Opportunity:

RN - Surgical Unit

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
* Primarily adult surgical unit with a few pediatric patient beds
* May be required to float to other units as needed
* Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
* Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
* Document according to standards of care
* Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
* Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
* Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
* Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately
* Required certifications: NIHSS, CPR/BLS
* Wisconsin nursing license required
* Education verification required
