Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapist (Adults)
Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour shifts per week with rotating days and varied shifts
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Call requirements to be discussed during interview
* Float to meet organizational needs up to competency level
* Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric ages
* Work primarily in critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients and families
* Initiate or modify patient care plans following structured protocols placed by providers
* Maintain proper documentation of all patient records and department logs
* Must have 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
* Recent critical care experience required
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Required licenses: RRT, Nevada State License, Nevada Point of Care Analyst License, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required prior to start

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius, operating as a Level 2 trauma center with stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient beds, and 80 emergency room beds. The volume and pace are comparable to that of a Level 1 trauma center. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, groundbreaking brain and nerve care, and comprehensive heart and cancer services. The facility features state-of-the-art technologies including the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, dedicated PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI technologies.
