Opportunity:

CLS - Laboratory

Job Details:

* Day shift schedule working 4 x 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Shifts will be consecutive days
* Minimum 2 years of recent clinical laboratory experience required
* 5 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences, or allied health technologies required
* Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment required
* Current certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA) preferred
* Current BLS certification required
* EPIC experience preferred
* Senior CLS or Lead CLS experience preferred
* Two years of leadership experience preferred
* Oversee all laboratory testing and coordinate all point of care testing (POCT)
* Review and evaluate the validity and accuracy of test results
* Function as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist when needed
* Identify education and competency needs and conduct laboratory personnel training programs on instrumentation, technology, and procedures
* Establish laboratory test performance characteristics including precision, accuracy, reference ranges, and reportable ranges
* Evaluate new and evolving developments in laboratory instrumentation, procedures, reagents, and automation
* Act as liaison to other departments for the appropriate laboratory specialty
* Ensure department meets all regulatory requirements including CLIA, FDA, and OSHA standards
* Coordinate equipment and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration programs
* Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements
