Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
* Will consider 36 or 48 hours per week
* Schedule may rotate between days and nights depending on unit needs, with efforts made to minimize frequent flipping between shifts
* Self-scheduling available, however days off are only guaranteed as listed in contract and shifts may be adjusted to balance unit needs
* Nurse to patient ratio: Days 1:4-5 and Nights 1:5-6
* 32-bed unit census
* Float to any Medical Surgical unit across 3 locations in Fargo as needed (Broadway, SMCF, and South University)
* Provide care for adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients with a wide range of needs including Trauma/Orthopedic Trauma
* Unit is certified by The Joint Commission for Hip Fracture Program
* Perform electronic documentation, assessments, patient education, and clinical skills
* Utilize EPIC, AcuDose, and other identified inpatient equipment
* Must badge in and out at facility
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds) required
* Travel experience required
* EPIC experience required
* Experience working in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center required
* Active ND or Compact RN License required
* Active BLS (AHA) certification required
* BSN not required
* Cannot take travelers living within 60 miles of the facility

This facility is a large acute care hospital operating as a Level 1 Trauma Center with over 200 beds, serving patients across multiple locations in the Fargo area. The organization specializes in adult trauma, medical, and surgical care, and holds Joint Commission certification for its Hip Fracture Program. The facility utilizes EPIC as its primary charting system and maintains high standards of patient care across its Medical Surgical units.
