Opportunity:

RN/RT - Cath Lab

Job Details:

* Work four 10-hour shifts per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Weekday and weekend call requirements included
* 1-2 call shifts during the week, end of shift until the following morning
* 1 weekend of call per month, end of shift Friday through Monday morning
* 30-minute response time required for call
* Call team consists of 2 Technologists and 2 RNs
* Holiday call required on a rotating every-other basis
* Self-scheduling with minor adjustments to fill gaps
* Up to 7 days of requested time off approved; holidays or more than 7 days require additional approval
* Minimum 2+ years of experience required; Cath Lab experience required, Cath Lab and IR experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Cath Lab procedures include: LHC/RHC, diagnostic, interventional, IABPs, Rotablator, STEMIs/MIs, pacemakers, generator changes, MICRAs, staged/protected PCIs, and CTOs; Impella experience preferred
* IR procedures include: coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes, central lines, ports, G/GJ tubes, IVC filters, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, and clot management devices
* Hybrid room procedures include: AAA grafts, peripheral/AO runoffs, and fistulograms
* Each room utilizes 3-person teams
* 7-14 cases per day
* RN responsibilities include: reading/interpreting EKGs, circulating, sedating, and transporting patients; may monitor cases if qualified
* RT responsibilities include: scrubbing and panning simultaneously and performing room turnover; Manifold experience preferred
* No floating to other departments
* Required certifications for RN: BLS, ACLS
* Required certifications for RT: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS certification, and State License
* EMR system: EPIC
* IV Pump: Alaris
* Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Hemodynamic monitoring: Merge
* All C-arms: GE
* Injector: MedRad
* Scrubs and lead provided; extended sizing available upon request
* Free parking available on-site
* RN must complete MHS Tele test prior to arrival
* Travelers with no IR experience will receive approximately 2 weeks of orientation; those with IR experience will receive approximately 1 week of orientation
* Travelers will take buddy call during orientation

Facility:

This facility is a 107-bed, non-trauma designated hospital featuring a Cath Lab, an IR room, and a Hybrid room. The department is supported by 24/7 phlebotomy, radiology technologist, and hospitalist coverage, with IR and cardiology specialists on-site during the day and on call at night. The facility provides a collaborative environment with charge nurse or lead technologist support available on any given day.
