Opportunity:

RRT/CRT - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Team scheduling with weekend requirements: every third weekend for days, every other weekend for nights
* Holiday rotation with permanent staff
* Float to different areas throughout the hospital in the respiratory therapy capacity
* 3 orientation shifts of 12 hours each provided
* Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics in an inpatient setting covering all areas and floors
* Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience required
* Perform EKGs, bedside bronchs, and bedside spirometry
* Work with ventilator equipment including Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion; BiPAP equipment including Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics S/T; and high flow equipment including Airvo2
* Hospitalist or Intensivist in house 24/7 with a Lead Therapist on each shift
* Will never be the only RT in-house
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC; NRP and PALS preferred
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care
* Valid driver's license required at submittal
* Radius rule: candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

This acute care facility is a Level 1 trauma center offering comprehensive inpatient respiratory therapy services across all floors and departments. The respiratory therapy department is known for its strong teamwork between RT staff, providers, and nursing, and provides an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The department fosters a collaborative environment that values time management, flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
