Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* Work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM plus on-call responsibilities
* Weeknight call requirements: 1-2 days per week with call hours from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend call requirements: every third weekend on call from Friday to Monday morning (24-hour call)
* Holiday call requirements: every other holiday
* 20-minute call response time required
* Schedule posted 17 days prior for 6-week blocks
* Work across 3 cath lab suites averaging 4 cases per day
* Common cases include emergent revascularization, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, ATK peripheral diagnostic/interventional, cardioversion, TEE, device procedures, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker placements
* Primary job duties include scrubbing in and/or panning and IV starts
* Panning experience acceptable if scrubbing experience is limited, as majority of role involves panning
* Experience with equipment including IABP, Impella, Shockwave (preferred), Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-port manifold
* Floating may be required to Heart and Vascular Pre/Post areas as helping hands
* Charting system: EPIC; hemodynamic monitoring system: Philips Xper
* Additional equipment includes Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, and Rotapro
* Required certifications: BLS, and either RCIS or ARRT credentials
* If RCIS credentialed: not responsible for panning/activating fluoroscopy and ND license not required
* If ARRT credentialed: may be responsible for panning/activating fluoroscopy and must hold an active ND Radiology Tech License and be registered with NDMIRT
* Radiation badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start
* One week of classroom and lab orientation provided
* Scrub colors provided by facility
* Bring your own lock for locker and hospital-designated shoes required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 2 designation and provides comprehensive cardiovascular services. The facility features three fully equipped catheterization labs with advanced imaging and interventional technology. An intensivist physician is in-house 24/7 to support clinical staff, and the department maintains a structured charge nurse leadership model to support team operations and scheduling.
