Job Details:

* Day/Evening rotating schedule with options for 2x8s and 2x12s (6:30 AM?2:30 PM / 2:30 PM?10:30 PM and 6:30 AM?6:30 PM / 10:30 AM?10:30 PM) or 5x8s (6:30 AM?2:30 PM / 2:30 PM?10:30 PM)
* Shift rotation is required
* Call requirements: 2?4 weeknight call shifts and 1?2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule
* No call shift is ever longer than 12 hours
* Weekend call is either Friday and Saturday night only OR Saturday and Sunday during the day only
* Patient ratio is 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Must be able to cardiac scrub
* At least 2 years of CVOR Tech experience required
* Previous travel experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Required certification: BLS
* Active Michigan (MI) license required at time of submission; compact licenses are not accepted
* Two manager or supervisor references required; charge nurse references are not accepted
* SPD Instrument Tracking system (Censitrac) required
* Experience with the following cardiac procedures required: LVAD/RVAD, Heart Transplant, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, MAZE, and Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices
* Experience with the following thoracic procedures required: Lung Transplant, VATS Wedge Resection, VATS/Open Lobectomy, Esophagectomy (Minimally Invasive & Transhiatal), Bronchoscopy, EGD, Mediastinal Mass Removal, and Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair
* Experience with the following vascular procedures required: AAA, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistulas, Fem-distal bypass, Fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, and Vein stripping/ablation
* Care for adult and geriatric cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients including complex and high acuity cases
* Float required between days and afternoons
* 40 orientation hours included
* Up to two pre-approved time-off requests allowed

This facility operates a 10-room cardiovascular operating suite dedicated to complex and high acuity adult and geriatric surgical cases spanning cardiac, thoracic, and vascular specialties. The unit is known for its flexible scheduling, accommodating time-off requests, and a positive team environment. Management is highly regarded for going above and beyond for staff, and the call program is structured to minimize impact on personal time while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
