CONTRACT - RN - OUTP SURG (786) - 13 WEEKS - 8:30A-7:00P

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment
* Day shift hours from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* No night shift; on-call only during nights
* On-call weekends from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Approximately 2-4 call shifts required every 4 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* 6-8 RNs per day shift
* Work in an 18-bed outpatient surgery unit with 9 double-occupancy rooms
* Pre-op and post-op experience required
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Hospital nursing experience preferred
* Perform care for pre- and post-op patients including endoscopy, general surgeries, GI, ortho, urology, spine, gynecology, breast oncology/reconstruction, podiatry, cardioversions, heart caths, IR procedures, and bronchoscopies
* Use Meditech EMR system
* ACLS certification required
* Navy blue dress code required
* Must be team oriented with strong critical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure
* Must demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and ability to work with minimal staff during call

Facility:

This facility operates a well-staffed outpatient surgery unit with 18 beds across 9 double-occupancy rooms, supported by a team of experienced registered nurses. The unit provides a wide range of surgical and procedural services, utilizing Meditech EMR technology to support efficient and high-quality patient care. The department fosters a collaborative, team-oriented environment while maintaining the ability to operate with minimal staff during on-call periods.
