LTAC ICU - NIGHT
Job Details:
* Night shift position within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTACH) unit
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; standard schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Weekends are supported by rotating on-call coverage shared between 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends with Primary and Backup call Tech support
* Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks
* Must have a minimum of 2 years ICU experience
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Staff work across both units: 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med-Surg unit
* Float to Med-Surg required at a 1:5 patient ratio
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Daily census of 35 patients
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach/PEG
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, central line care, chest tubes, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, mechanical ventilation modes, tracheostomy care, weaning from mechanical ventilation, stroke scale assessment, complex wound care, and management of dysrhythmias
* Block scheduling type
