Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry/PCU
Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend coverage required, may vary based on facility need
* Floating to other units may be required based on facility need
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
* Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
* Manage cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Unit capacity of 39 beds with a daily census of 32 patients
* Block scheduling type
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and South Carolina license
* Required skills include blood glucose monitoring/testing, colostomy/ileostomy management and care, feeding tube care and management, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry monitoring, vital sign monitoring, and telemetry/PCU experience
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Pre-assignment testing and online modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
