Open Position: RN - Hematology Oncology

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no on-call requirements
* Rare instances of overtime may occur if patient reactions or complexities arise during treatment - RN must confirm agreement upon signing
* No weekend shifts required
* No floating between units required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local and travel candidates accepted
* Administer IV therapy for patients with various diagnoses including oncology and hematology
* Primary support for non-chemotherapy patient population with scope of work including:
- Phlebotomy
- Reclast/Zometa infusions
- Zoladex, Lupron, and Faslodex injections
- Port flushes
- Iron infusions (majority of workload)
- Occasional hydration treatments
- Rare genetic testing and liquid biopsy procedures
* Inpatient or outpatient oncology experience highly preferred
* Experience caring for chemotherapy patients with an extensive range of cancer diagnoses highly preferred
* Patient ratio of 4-5 patients per day with a daily census of 24
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: BLS, CRNI
* Preferred certifications: Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN
* Key skills required include: accessing and managing ports, central line care, chemotherapy administration, phlebotomy, PICC line care, infusion pump management, and IV push administration
* Parking is paid and located in an attached parking garage on Santa Monica Blvd
* Candidates should confirm commute during peak travel times prior to applying - early departure due to traffic will not be approved

Facility:

This outpatient cancer center provides specialized infusion and oncology services to adult patients across a broad range of diagnoses. The facility operates with pharmacy interdisciplinary support and utilizes Epic for charting. With 29 treatment rooms and a daily census of 24 patients, the center offers a structured and collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality oncology and hematology care.
