Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Per diem night shift position
* Minimum two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy required
* Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
* Assess and document appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy including recommendations
* Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy while maintaining patient charts
* Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
* Provide care to ventilator-dependent patients
* Perform pulmonary function tests
* Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
* Assist in training and supervision of new employees as delegated
* Instruct nursing personnel in patient surveillance and equipment monitoring
* Required certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC)
* Preferred certifications: NRP, PALS, PEARS
* Must be registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; Master's degree preferred
