Open Position: RN - PCU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2064.40

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Progressive Care Unit located on Floor 2 North
* Patient ratio of 5:1
* Day shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs
* Work with telemonitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
* EMR system: Meditech/CPN
* Perform post-op recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
* Care for post-op orthopedic patients including spine and joint procedures
* Manage a variety of patient populations including elective ortho, spine, GYN surgeries, elective cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Administer set rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin)
* Must have minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
* Cardiac experience preferred
* Prior Meditech experience preferred
* Friendly, outgoing personality and teamwork-oriented mindset required
* Must be able to multi-task in a high patient turnover environment

Facility:

This facility features a brand new state-of-the-art Progressive Care Unit with 24 beds, equipped with ADA/Bari rooms and in-room Hoyer lifts. The unit prides itself on a strong team culture with excellent collaboration and a wide range of nursing experience. A modified self-scheduling process is in place with schedules posted three weeks in advance, allowing ample time for managing any scheduling needs.
