Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts
* Half of scheduled shifts will include weekend coverage
* Patient ratio of 1:6
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Epic charting experience required
* Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS
* Work on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with a maximum census of 20 patients
* Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs
* Required skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, heparin and insulin administration, PICC line management, wound care, phlebotomy, and IV placement and maintenance
* Additional skills include central line blood draws, feeding tube care, PCA management, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury care, traumatic brain injury care, and renal failure management

This facility is a medical-surgical and telemetry unit offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The unit is equipped with telemetry capabilities and supports a diverse patient population with a broad range of medical and surgical care needs.
