Open Position: OT - Therapy Rehab Acute Care

Opportunity:

Job Details:

* Block schedule required
* Weekends required, approximately 4 weekend days per month
* No on-call required
* Will float between units
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Oregon license required
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Inpatient acute care hospital experience required - candidates without this experience will not be considered
* Large acute care hospital experience and employment background preferred
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Charting system experience required; Epic charting system
* Scrub color: Any color; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Daily census of 165 patients
* Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT
* Required skills: Acute Care, Assessment, Discharge, Evaluation, Home Exercise Program, Lifting and Transfer, Patient/Family Education, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Safety and Injury Prevention, Telephone Calls
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

This short-term acute care teaching hospital operates with nearly 500 total staff beds and holds several accredited programs. The facility provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary environment with support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. As a large academic medical center, it offers a dynamic and well-rounded clinical setting for experienced healthcare professionals.
