Opportunity:

Dermatology Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with weekends off
* 13-week contract
* No on-call requirements
* No weekend shifts required
* May be required to float to West Seattle, Bellevue, and Issaquah locations for staffing coverage as needed
* Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation is not accepted)
* Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT designations are not eligible
* Minimum 6 months of experience as an MA-C in an adult or pediatric outpatient clinic setting required; dermatology experience preferred
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Any
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required skills include:
- Obtaining vital signs
- Patient positioning and draping
- Recording patient history, medications, and allergies
- Setting up and assisting with biopsies and dressing changes
- Setting up aseptic and sterile procedure trays
- Labeling of specimens
- Aseptic technique
- Rooming patients
- Suture removal
- Wound care
* This is a temp-to-hire opportunity; candidates must be open and willing to transition to a permanent position at the end of the contract

Facility:

This is a dermatology clinic serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The clinic handles approximately 25 patient visits per day and performs specialized procedures including biopsies and surgical excisions. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a collaborative care environment focused on dermatological conditions and treatments.
