Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
* Option to work 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with call requirement
* If selecting 3x12s, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is required
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
* NICU Level II and III experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required
* No first-time travelers accepted
* Travel experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 38 with 41 beds and 41 rooms
* Documentation system: EPIC (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)
* Medication system: Pyxis/Omnicell
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and SC license
* Patient population: Neonates and infants 22 weeks gestation and greater
* Patient diagnoses include: abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP
* Special procedures include: full body cooling, chest tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
* Special equipment includes: Arctic Sun, Blanketroll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, radiant warmers, external shunt, and ostomy
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

This advanced neonatal care facility operates a 41-bed NICU providing Level II and III care to critically ill neonates and infants. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services to ensure the highest standard of patient care. The facility handles complex neonatal cases and performs specialized procedures, supported by a robust team of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for the most vulnerable patients.
