Job Details:

* 4x12 night shift schedule
* Orthopedic experience required
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Travel experience accepted - first time travelers welcome
* Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
* Unit capacity of 10 beds
* Adults patient population
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management and care, feeding tube care and management, heparin, insulin, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, ortho trauma, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, peripheral nerve block catheters, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, total joint replacement, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Provide specialized care to patients with musculoskeletal issues, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries
* Manage chronic musculoskeletal conditions and educate patients and families on care and prevention
* Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions
* Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with providers and leaders
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* 50-mile radius rule applies - no local candidates
