Cath Lab Technician
Job Details:
* Minimum 18 months of experience in Cath Lab specialty required; 2 years preferred
* Guaranteed 36 hours for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
* Call is required
* Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
* Will float within scope to meet facility needs
* Required to float to all 3 sister facilities within 20 miles
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue
* Charting system: EPIC (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS
* Preferred certifications: Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) and RCIS
* Required skills include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment Setup, Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias, Room Circulator, Sterile Field Maintenance, Sterile Technique, and Isolation Precautions/PPE
* EKG and Pharmacology tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
* Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized and completed prior to start
* 2 references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director required
* All requested time off must be included at the time of submission
* Smoke-free facility all clinicians must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
