Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Progressive Care Unit within main hospital building
* Unit has 36 beds with patient ratios of 1:3 AM, 1:4 AM or 1:4 PM, 1:5 PM with patient care techs
* Primarily RN-based care with unit secretaries scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Equipment used includes BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Every 3rd weekend rotation required
* Rotating holiday schedule
* Float to Telemetry Unit up to 1 time per week
* Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills required
* Management of vasoactive drips required
* Typical procedures include central line or PICC line placement and chest tube placements
* Required dress code: Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms; black or charcoal grey jackets with option to order unit-specific jackets
* Positive attitude and desire to work as a member of a team preferred
