Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Work on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
* Must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
* Unit support includes Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs
* Document using Meditech electronic documentation system
* Operate equipment including Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Dinamap, Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitors, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Doppler, and Imobile for team communication
* Must have Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience with ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
* Must have experience with post cardiac procedural care including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, and permanent pacemaker placements
* Must be able to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
* Perform procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker management, and Foley insertions
* Contract nurses may be floated to any area where competency has been demonstrated
* Must align with patient experience goals including treating patients with courtesy and respect, using preferred names, involving patients in bedside shift report, and responding to call lights
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs; black scrub pants may be worn with a navy blue top
