Job Details:
* Evening shift position from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
* On-call required: Weekday standby shifts of 16 hours every 4 weeks (blocks of 4 or 8 hours); Weekend standby shifts of 24 hours every 4 weeks (12-hour standby shifts x 2)
* Weekend shifts required in lieu of weekday shifts based on department needs
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Daily census of 60 with 21 operating rooms
* Adult Acute Care Operating Room with all adult specialties and a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases
* Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
* Adult surgical specialties not performed: Open Heart and Organ Transplant
* Patients served: Adults and Geriatrics
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Any color
* Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Must have experience with a broad range of surgical procedures including Da Vinci Robotics, endovascular and hybrid room procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, spinal fusion, total joint replacements, and more
Facility:
This short-term acute care facility features 418 staffed beds and 21 operating rooms with a daily surgical census of 60 cases. The facility is equipped with advanced surgical technology including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI and utilizes Epic for charting. The operating room supports a comprehensive range of adult surgical specialties with a particular focus on advanced oncology surgical cases, offering a dynamic and high-acuity environment for experienced surgical technologists.
